A group of 19 students spent the week before spring semester in Macon, Georgia working with the charity Rebuilding Macon, an organization that the BCLC has worked with for the past several years. We got to experience some of the Southern culture, and learn more about the community we worked in and the challenges they face. We cleaned up yards, built wheelchair ramps, and painted houses for people who desperately needed help. In the process we got much closer with one another through nightly reflections and made a serious impact in a community that needs a helping hand.
