With exams completed, 24 UConn business students embarked on the experience of a lifetime to gain firsthand knowledge in international business on the ground in China.
The two main objectives of the 11-day trip to Beijing and Shanghai were to expose our students to the intricacies of international business through company visits with top executives and to learn how Chinese history, culture and languages shape the country’s modern business environment. Trip highlights included a dinner with a Chinese family, a scavenger hunt throughout Beijing to learn the art of Chinese market negotiations, intercity travel on China’s high-speed bullet train and visits with UConn students and alumni from Beijing and Shanghai. This trip was the third International Business Immersion Trip for Business Connections Learning Community students. Previous trips included Paris, France and Munich, Germany and the Czech Republic.
